Metis Public School is a co-education school for student aged 3 - 18 years for Nursury – XII standard with Humanities, Science and Commerce streams; affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi. Founded in 2009 by Northern Educational Trust Metis Public School provides academic excellence with a strong emphasis on personal care and a range of co-curricular activities that include art, music, dance and public speaking. There is strong focus on social responsibility and global citizenship in all aspects of school life. The school provides to the students a liberal, lively and competitive environment. The School is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. The School has classes from Nursery to XII. The academic year begins in April and the final Examinations are conducted in March. During academic year, the students receive education in Drama, Music, Art & Craft, Life Skills, Languages, IT, General Knowledge and Physical Education that develop them in areas of Personality, Ethics and Citizenship. Although, the School is an English Medium Institute but Hindi holds a place of very high importance. An option is provided to the students to choose as third language from Sanskrit and Punjabi .
For the Class X CBSE Examinations the school is able to offer a wide choice of discipline options. Apart from the compulsory subjects which includes English, Hindi, Social Studies, Mathematics and Science, Computer Application subject is added for skill development. At the 10+2 level, the School makes it possible for students to take subjects across the three streams: Humanities, Science, Commerce, in preparation for the school-leaving final CBSE Board examination held at the end of Class XII. A large selection of subjects is offered at this level. English is compulsory, optional subjects may be selected from the following: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, History, Geography, Economics, Political Science, Commerce, Accounts and Physical Education, Music. The School wishes to offer its students the widest possible opportunity to develop their areas of interest and therefore makes every effort to cater to an individual's special requirements by accommodating subjects in a wide variety of combinations

Admissions are offered in Classes Nursery – XII subject to the availability of seats. The lower age limit for admission in the School is 3 years on 1st April of the year of joining the School in Class Nursery. Similarly, correlation of age and class to which admission is sought is an essential requirement.
An application for registration is the first stage of the admissions process. A registration fee of Rs.500 along with the registration form must be deposited in the school office so that the students name may be registered for the year and class for which admission is sought. The fee is non- refundable but adjustable and it is valid only for the specified academic year.

THE CLAN / HOUSE SYSTEM
In a public school, the Clan System has a special relevance. Not only is each clan an autonomous unit under the care of a Clan Mistress and a Master. There are four houses in Metis Public School:- Marigold yellow Lotus Pink Iris Blue Jasmine Green
