Metis Degree College (For Girls) is the first Self-Financing Women’s College in the district founded in 2010 by Northern Educational Trust with an aim of imparting higher education to women and uplifting and enhancing their status. The College has been dedicated to the education of young women to the remotest corner. Since its inception, the College has grown in terms of enrollment of students and infrastructure facilities every year. The College provides a caring, safe and secure environment for girls with a wide range of opportunities to extend the curriculum and co-curriculum horizons of students across a broad range of subjects at the Graduation and Post Graduation levels. The College is affiliated with CRS University Jind. The College is well known for its brilliant academic results, strict discipline and various extracurricular activities. Since its commencement Metis Degree College (For Girls) has proved its extraordinary standards with a unique blend of academics, nurturing and encouraging in every girl a creative mind, a sense of tolerance, understanding and compassion for others and gives them the confidence to act on their beliefs. The College emphasises attention and dedication towards an all-round development of the students so that they can meet the challenges of life with confidence and conviction and become responsible citizens of society. We respect the individual needs and encourage the development of spiritual, moral, intellectual, social and emotional aspirations in each girl. The College attracts a considerable number of students from surrounding towns and also from adjoining areas and Districts. The College has its own transport vehicles with doorstep transport facility for its students. The College provides best of the modern facilities within the campus like 24 hours power backup, the best techniques of CCTV cameras used for safety and security, a hygienic campus, an internet facility etc. The College provides excellent infrastructure and spacious grounds. College also offers hostel facilities for its students equipped with all the modern amenities, with a safe and secure environment.
